What is Sleepy Girl Club in plain language?
Sleepy Girl Club is a community spaces, retreats and events brand that blends ASMR with wellness practices.
It creates both in-person experiences and online gatherings where people can experience ASMR and deep relaxation in real-life
At its core, it’s about using ASMR and holistic practices to help people rest, restore, and feel less isolated.
Who is Sleepy Girl Club for?
Sleepy Girl Club retreats and events are an inclusive sanctuary for women.
I'm not based in the UK, what offerings are there for me?
We currently host online gatherings, open to our community wherever you are in the world. ✨ We also plan to bring Sleepy Girl Club to the USA and beyond. If you’d love us to come to your city, let us know here — your voice helps shape where we go next.
What are your online gatherings like?
Our online gatherings are designed as a blend of ritual, self-led care, workshop-style interaction, and community with our global audience. Rooted in holistic practices and soulful themes, Sleepy Girl Club invites you to join from the comfort of your own home, where you’ll be gently guided through each experience. We aim to make each experience unique, with every event detailed on our Gatherings page.
What prices will your experiences be?
Sleepy Girl Club curates a wide range of experiences, and pricing will always reflect the nature of the event. Some offerings, such as luxury retreats with lots of 1:1 attention, will be at a higher price point, while others, like relaxed gatherings and online circles, will be more accessible. As Sleepy Girl Club grows we hope to record lot's of guest feedback and content so anyone new to Sleepy Girl Club can understand better, the type of experience they will receive for the price.
Will ASMR August be present at the gatherings?
As the founder, August aims to be at all Sleepy Girl Club events for the foreseeable, where possible.
Much of your ASMR content is around scalp/hair touch but I feel uncomfortable letting someone touch my head/hair.
Your comfort always comes first. You will never be asked to take part in anything that doesn’t feel right for you. Many of our practices are non-touch or self-led, and touch-based experiences are always optional.
When it comes to hair, we adapt our approach depending on your hair type, condition, or if you have no hair at all. We will always listen carefully to any instructions you share about how you’d like your hair handled. Our Sleepy Girl Club team also represents a range of different hair types, so we can pair you with someone who has similar hair if that helps you feel more comfortable and relaxed.
Can I opt out of physical touch?
Yes, always. All touch-based practices at Sleepy Girl Club are completely optional. You’re welcome to observe, choose self-led versions, or focus on the non-touch elements of the experience (such as sound, journaling, or guided meditation). We create every gathering with flexibility so that you can feel safe, comfortable, and cared for in the way that suits you best.
Can I come on my own?
August here - ill answer this one. Sleepy Girl Club was born from my own experiences of loneliness, disconnection, and the wish for ASMR to move beyond the screen. In many ways, it was created for people to come on their own and to find like-minded souls in the process. Sometimes stepping out of your comfort zone is exactly what waters the ground for something beautiful to grow.
Can I get a refund if I can't make it?
All tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. Each gathering has limited spaces, so please book mindfully and only if you’re certain you can attend.
What is ASMR and do I need to understand it to attend?
ASMR (Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response) is often described as a tingling, deeply calming sensation some people feel in response to gentle triggers like soft voices, touch, or soothing sounds. At Sleepy Girl Club, we use ASMR-inspired practices to create an atmosphere of calm, connection, and care.
You don’t need to know anything about ASMR to join — our gatherings are designed to be nurturing whether you’ve experienced ASMR before or not. All you need is an openness to slow down, listen, and explore.
